About me
My Name is Thaís Vieira, from Brazil. I'm a Holistic Massage Therapist and Physiotherapist. My main goal as a massage professional is to guide people through a beautiful journey of relaxation and self awareness. My background as a Physio allows me to apply an array of distinct techniques and adjustments, always considering the singularity of each body structure and its needs in that particular moment, without disturbing the system’s wholeness. My work is trauma informed, which means that the client’s psychological and emotional realities are of utmost importance to me. The practice usually produce a great sense of embodiment, which most of the times accompanies a positive emotional state that could be described as well being or joy.
I just had my first-ever full massage with Thaís and I have to say, it was amazing! I was a little nervous at first, but Thaís made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. She took the time to ask about my day and any concerns or injuries I had, which really made me feel like she cared about me as an individual, not just a client. The massage itself was incredibly relaxing, and I felt all the tension just melt away. I was so relaxed that I almost fell asleep! I can't believe I've been missing out on this for so long.
Thanks, Thaís, for such a wonderful experience. I'll definitely be going back for more! :)

My method is holistic by definition
This means it’s based on the assumption that the human organism works as an indivisible whole. That means that every adjustment or procedure I perform is aimed at affecting and transforming not only the physical condition of that body, but also its psychological and emotional reality. I’m also trauma informed and I use the Polyvagal Theory as a powerful framework for the development of my work. I believe that creating a safe, welcoming practice space can very positively affect the client’s nervous system, making their bodies naturally more relaxed and accessible, so that I can use touch as a tool for stimulating their vagus nerve and regulating their physiological state, thereby promoting health, growth and healing.
Treatments
Holistic Massage
Holistic Massage with a comprehensive view. Using different techniques, we aim to help you establish a deep connection with yourself, and cultivate both mindfulness and bodily state awareness, facilitating a sense of well-being, and lasting relaxation. The arising of profound insights into your emotional reality during or even long after the treatment is a common experience reported by clients.
Before treatment
It is important to drink liquids, as well-hydrated muscles facilitate manipulation and promote the release of tension more effectively. It is advisable not to have an empty or full stomach.Arrive early, give yourself some time to truly connect with the present moment.
Notice the state of your mind. Is it racing or is it still? How about your body? Is it highly agitated or is it quiet, accessible, and at ease?
Gently scan your body and look for spots where there is perhaps unnecessary muscle tension.
Try to loosen your grip little by little. Remain curious rather than judgemental.
After treatment
It is recommended to avoid strenuous practice or exercise immediately after treatment to allow your muscles to continue to relax and release any tension.Be open to the arrival of emotions and bodily feelings that could have been inaccessible to the conscious mind beforehand. If that’s the case, embrace them.
Stay tuned to your body as much as you can and enjoy the beautiful experience of being embodied.
